Like any field, narrative theory comes with its special vocabulary. Just to make things more confusing, different narratologists use different words for the same thing, or the same words for different things. To make sure we’re all on the same page, I’ve compiled my own glossary of terms that will be used in our course. This is not a list to memorize, but it will be useful to have it as a reference tool.
